The Program

The Clinical Teaching Collaborative Program

A five day graduate or undergraduate course is necessary to participate in the program. Courses will be offered multiple times during the year and application fees, tuition and course materials are covered by the program grant.

Registration options for Clinical Teaching Scholars

1. Undergraduate Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher

Applicants who meet the 3.0 GPA graduate admission requirement may take the course for credit. The course can be applied for future transfer credit to the Master of Nursing Program at the University of Calgary provided a grade of B or higher is achieved in the course

2. Undergraduate GPA of less than 3.0

Applicants who do not meet the 3.0 GPA requirement may take the course for undergraduate credit to raise their GPA. This may assist interested participants to become eligible for future admission to the Master of Nursing Program provided a grade of B or higher is achieved

3. Audit

Applicants who do not wish to take the course for credit may register to audit the course.
To apply:

1. Complete the Open Studies application form at: http://ucalgary.ca/registrar/files/registrar/OpenStudiesrev01.pdf

2. If you wish to audit the course, complete a Permission to Audit form in addition to the Open Studies form at: http://ucalgary.ca/registrar/files/registrar/audit.pdf

3. If you have previously been a student at the University of Calgary, no transcripts are required. If you have not been a student, copies are required of all transcripts from all post secondary institutions that you have attended. They do not have to be official transcripts and photocopies are acceptable.

4. As this is a unique offering of the course, there is no need to attach a cheque for the application fee.
